February Favorite

My February favorite was a steal! I got this beautiful statement necklace at Forever 21 for only $7! I have worn this necklace so many times and with many different outfits. I love how statement necklaces make me feel. As soon as I put one on, I automatically feel better about my outfit choice because it looks like a lot of time and effort was put into it. When actually it takes a few seconds. I'm a casual girl and I love that I can make a casual outfit look super chic by just adding a standout necklace.

You don't need to spend a lot of money for a stunning statement necklace anymore. I have found some great necklaces at Forever 21 under $10. They are good quality and look expensive. Have you checked out Forever 21 lately?

This weeks Manicure

I just received a new nail polish for my birthday from my friend Portia. She knows me so well by getting me nail polish! She got me Nicole by OPI- My Jay or the Highway! I absolutely love it because it's a neutral that everyone should have. It's described as a taupe, but to me it's more like a grayish khaki color. I love neutral nail polish because chips don't show up as much and they go with any outfit. You gotta love that!



I decided to paint an accent nail to jazz up my manicure. I used OPI- My Favorite Ornament because I thought a pop of gold glitter would pair nicely. This color was from their holiday collection, but you can still find it online. I used two coats of the glitter and it sparkles like you wouldn't believe!  Glitter nail polish is usually a pain to take off, but this one is actually pretty easy! I think the glitter has a finer consistency, so that's why you don't have to struggle as much.

Lush Addict

Have you guys been to Lush before? If you haven't you are totally missing out! Lush is all about products with natural and fresh ingredients for the hair and skin. What more could you want?

Recently I have been using the Ro's Argan Body Conditioner and I can't get enough of it! First you wash your body like normal and then apply this luxurious conditioner all over
. You let it sit for a little bit, so it can do it's magic and then just rinse it off.  Your skin feels so conditioned and it smells fabulous- like a garden of roses. Now I know this product is a little pricey, but I only use it when my skin feels very dry or when I want to smell extra nice!

My New Love

So if you know me, then you know that I love to paint my nails ALL THE TIME! I usually paint my nails every two days (I know, I know...I'm crazy!) but I am constantly getting chips.

But at last, I have found a base coat that helps my nail polish stay on longer. I have been wearing the same nail polish for 5 days now and I couldn't believe it!

So why is this basecoat so different than the other polishes on the market?  Well Orly Bonder Basecoat has a rubberized formula that helps the polish grip to the nail surface for long lasting staying power.

My husband would get so irritated with me because he hates the harsh smell of the nail polish fumes every two days. But now his nose can rest for an extra 3 days!

Fresh Flowers

I love getting fresh cut flowers from the Farmer's Market. There's nothing prettier than having flowers to brighten up your home. I cut off all the leaves and place the flowers in a blue mason jar. It's so shabby chic! Make sure you replace your flower's with fresh water so they last longer! I've had my flowers for almost two weeks now!

Nail Care Management

Since I paint my nails all the time, I have to take extra care of them. I don't like to get my nails professionally done because I get the WORST hangnails a week after and the nail polish never stays on more than 2 days. I rather save the money and do it myself. Here's some products that I have found to be amazing for my cuticles...

I love Essie's Apricot Cuticle Oil to moisturize and condition my cuticles. It also smells delightful! I apply this product a few times a week and I really do notice a difference. I love how easy it is to apply with the nail polish brush.

I also use Lush's Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter for those days that I don't wear any nail polish and really let my nails breathe. I like to call this product my deep conditioner for my nails. I love applying this at night so the product can really penetrate into my cuticles. I have even used it on my elbows, heels and knees for when they get super dry. I know this product is a little more pricey, but it seriously lasts for a LONG time! It also smells like a lemon meringue pie! 

I love Burt's Bees Lemon Cuticle Cream when I'm on the go. When I need a quick moisturize treatment or if my cuticles are looking horrific, I just apply this baby and I'm good to go. I keep this in my purse at all times and it's very cheap too!

Then lastly, I found the BEST hand and cuticle cream EVER- Jenna Hipp Essential Nail and Hand Cream. I purchased this hand cream at Costco and it comes in a three pack for only $20! I couldn't believe how cheap it was.  I keep one in my purse and one on my night stand because I can't get enough of this stuff. It's super moisturizing and it doesn't leave your hands all greasy or sticky like some other hand creams do. It says it's fragrance free; but it has a fresh and clean scent to me, which I really like.  I really hope Costco keeps this lotion in stock because I seriously don't know what I would do without it.

All About Red Lips

Right now I am totally obsessed with red lipsticks and lip balms. I think red lips make such a beautiful statement because it automatically glams up your look! I tend to wear more sheer red lipsticks on a daily basis because I love to save the dramatic deep red lipsticks for fancier occasions.

The first red lipstick I recommend is the Revlon Lip Butter in Candy Apple. It retails for about $8 and I think it's a great drugstore find. This lipstick is the perfect shade of red because it will look great on anyone.  It also feels like butter on your lips! Who could ask for more?

The second red lipstick I am absolutely am in love with is the YSL Volupte Sheer Candy in Luscious Cherry. I believe this lipstick is worth the splurge because you can wear this color year around. This lipstick is so moisturizing and you can also build up the color as dark or as light as you want it. The color lasts a surprisingly long time, which makes it even more amazing!

The Tarte Glamazon Pure Performance 12-Hour Lipstick in Fierce is my favorite for a night out. This color is so bold and glamorous! It glides on so smoothly and a little goes a long way!  Tarte is not lying when they say this lipstick has staying power!

Lastly, I just want to rave about the Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me. I wear this color every day because it is so easy to apply and it makes my lips super soft! I love the sheer red color and for $4 you really cannot go wrong! I have already used up two of these babies!
